Started before Christmas. Shop sample. Longarmed by Kelley Jones of Ye Olde Forest Quilters Bound 02/15/2011. SOLD 02/2011. My dear friend and RedBubble associate, Rikki Woods, just bought my Civil War Homefront quilt. It is a birthday present for her husband!! This was my "I didn't know I was supposed to square the blocks too!" quilt. No wonder I had so much trouble trying to get the points to line up. How did I learn? I was at the shop on day and asked a friend about a quilt sample she had done that was on the wall. When she said it took a lot of time to square and re-square each block as she went ... a light came on. Oh! Duh! That makes a lot of sense. It is a miracle this complex pattern came together at all. Kelley, my son-in-law, longarmed it for a shop sample. Later my daughter gave it back to me. I sold it for a ridiculously low price, something I would never do again. Quilt and learn. Moda Civil War Homefront Kit & matching fabrics from the entire line. Backing is cotton sateen.
