Longarm Quilting Services is a full service family-of-1 owned and operated quilting business located in Ashe County in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. You make up the rest of the family. I work from my small log cabin home and am here most of the time.
My primary business is longarming, i.e. quilting your finished quilt top with an all over pantograph design. I use an APQS Ultimate I longarm on a 10 foot table computerized by an IntelliQuilter state of the art system.
First come first served is my operating principal. I am big on communication and openness when it is helpful. With permission, I blog about each quilt I do showing progress photos as I go. The first blog entry is revised daily and shows exactly what is in-house & what is being done. Some love to see what others are doing and it is a great way to share the beautiful quilts that come through here.
I want my customer-partners to be as involved in as many aspects of their quilt finishing as they wish to be & I fill in the rest. I love working one on one making the quilt of someone's dreams. I made lots of quilts so I could master longarming on my quilts and not on yours. You are welcome! I make quilts just because I see something I like. Quilts for Sale, Quilts you & I have made & Plans are all here for your browsing fun. The BLOG is loaded with details and progress notes dating back to August 2010 when I went public.

- I get your quilt back to you FAST - none of the 3-4 month turn-around nonsense
- You may have any pantograph pattern you want - no restrictions, no price difference
- You can track my work on your quilt through our BLOG
- You always know just what is happening at the cabin day by day.
- Your quilt always takes precedence over my personal work.

I cannot longarm quilt tops wider than 90". Length is not restricted.
I have a 10' table. The canvas used to load the quilt back is 96" and thus 90" max for the top.
I am terribly allergic to cats. Please read.
If a cat is in your home, please do NOT send me your quilts. I am so sorry about this.
EVERY Quilt is SPECIAL
Every one who entrusts a quilt to me is priceless.
Every quilt takes time and creativity and patience. I treat every quilt as if it was my own and put a whole lot of heart and time in each one. This is why I do not restrict you to a hand full of quick to stitch longarming patterns. I want you to choose something that is as special as your quilt. What is a little extra time on a quilt that will outlast us?
If your quilt is best suited for some custom block work, I can help. Together we can devise the perfect plan. Generally, custom work is more expensive because it is more time consuming. Many a quilt is worth it! There is one thing I will not do for anyone.

I want Longarm Quilting Services to be AFFORDABLE.
That is why I have kept my price at a penny point six per square inch -- the best price around.
Let's talk money. I could charge more. Many charge as much as 25% or more over what I charge. I am worth every bit of that!! I could use the money. Who couldn't? Yes, the equipment I use was expensive and I am still recouping those costs. Yes, the cost of cotton is going sky high! So why don't I charge more? And why don't I drum up more business? There is plenty to be had I assure you.
The answer is YOU. My overhead is minimal so I can pass that savings on to you! As you can see from the Quilts page and BLOG, I have been quite busy this year! I have not been too busy though which means I can give special care to every project and special attention to every one who entrusts me with their work. My customer-partners and I make a good team & enjoy the process and results. And they come back over and over. That is the best compliment I can receive. I am certain any one of these quilters will be happy to serve as a reference if you have any questions.
On the practical side, the more you can afford, the more quilt tops you will make, the more work I will have & the more fun for everyone, especially the recipients of the quilts.

Please do not ship quilts before informing me first.
I must now require a photo of your quilt--front, back and close-up before I accept it. It is my choice what I choose to longarm. Please do not be alarmed as I have only ever turned down one quilt. I have every right to enjoy my work. I simply do not (want to) charge enough for problem quilts that take far longer than ones properly pieced. Shipping is more expensive than ever so I would rather see the quilt upfront than refuse it & have you pay return shipping for nothing. Surely it is common sense that you inform me before sending any work yet I have been shipped 6 quilts without prior knowledge over the years. Check the BLOG for the latest news and to see what is in house ahead of you.
